Quality is a hallmark of the Audi brand and the company continues to put forth products with the customer first in mind. The 2017 Audi A4 2.0T Premium Sedan is certainly a model that any company would be proud to hang its hat on and now there are even more accolades coming to the model.
The all-new 2017 Audi A4 has been named an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety 2016 Top Safety Pick+, earning “good” ratings in all five IIHS crashworthiness evaluations and a “superior” rating for front crash prevention. Top Safety Pick+ is the highest 2016 rating available from IIHS.
“We are very proud to have the IIHS recognize the A4 with this prestigious rating,” Scott Keogh, president of Audi of America, said in a press release. “More and more customers are seeking driver assistance systems when making their vehicle purchase decision, and the A4 demonstrates some of the best technologies available today. Having both the Q7 and now the A4 be awarded Top Safety Pick+ ratings further demonstrates our commitment to the highest levels of safety and technology in our vehicles.”
The standard Audi pre sense city with automatic emergency braking earned the 2017 A4 a “superior” rating for front crash prevention. The system helps detect moving and stationary vehicles as well as pedestrians, at speeds of up to 52 miles per hour and can initiate braking when a potential collision is detected.
It’s great to hear the confirmation of what we here at Audi of Nashua already knew, especially when you consider some of the technological capabilities the car comes with, including Traffic Jam Assist, a piece of technology that is capable of controlling acceleration, braking, and even steering at lower speeds.
