In an on-going effort to produce more energy-efficient vehicles, the Audi brand has some exciting news to discuss regarding its business in China. With pollution levels there more dangerous than ever, Audi engineers are ready to do their part. As a test run of sorts, beginning later this year, the company will be partnering with a Chinese automaker, FAW, to create new all-electric Audi cars to be used in Asia.
The new lineup made up of five all electric cars will put Audi in strong competition with Tesla, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz models on the market there now. Currently, the only electric Audi car available in China now is the Audi A3 e-tron, but in five years time, Chinese customers will have many additional environmentally friendly options. If these models are successful, perhaps America will see similar plans in the coming years.
