It’s called the fastest second in the world – the amount of time it takes from a traffic light turning green to the first horn blown by an impatient driver wanting on the first car to go. Most of us have been on the receiving end of the horn call and many of us have been the impatient driver. If you’ve been the one to receive the horn blast due to not seeing the light turn colors the moment it happens, then you will definitely love what Audi is rolling out.
Select 2017 Audi A4, A4 allroad and Audi Q7 models will include the new Audi Traffic Technology Services that features a traffic light information system that allows the car to communicate with traffic signals in select municipalities. This means that no matter how distracted you get waiting for a red light to turn green, looking down at the radio or perhaps holding something in your hand (we know it won’t be your mobile phone because that would be illegal in many areas), your Audi car will receive a notification telling you the light has changed colors. Not only will a driver receive a notification about the light turning green, some models will have a “heads up” display, which indicates the time remaining until the signal changes to green.
According to Audi, the link between vehicle and infrastructure is routed via the on-board LTE data connection and Traffic Technology Services, Inc. servers.
Audi will begin to roll out the new Audi Traffic Technology Services as part of its suite of Audi connect PRIME services later this fall. So make sure you check with the great staff here at Audi of Nashua to find out if some of the new 2017 models, such as the 2017 Audi A4 2.0T Premium Sedan, the 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 Premium SUV or the soon to come 2017 Audi A4 allroad will include the new Audi Traffic Technology Services. We can’t wait to hear from you!
