As an Audi dealership, the professionals at Audi of Nashua are thrilled to share some exciting Audi news with our family and friends today. As a brand devoted to innovation, we know our customers expect nothing less than genius designs and features. That’s why we are happy discuss the Audi brand’s plan to launch vehicle to infrastructure communication systems on public roads.

Set to go online in Las Vegas this month, the new Traffic Light Information (TLI) system will transmit information from traffic lights to servers operated by Audi partner Traffic Technology Services and into compatible Audi cars through a 4G LTE connection. In short, the biggest benefit of this system is that drivers in these cars will be able to see how long the red light will take to turn green on a timer – all from the driver seat of their car.

This awesome new feature will be available on the Audi A4, Audi A4 Allroad, and Audi Q7 models built after June 1, 2016. All you need to do is have a valid subscription to the Audi Connect Prime streaming service. Eventually, Audi engineers are hoping to use this system and adapt navigation services to account for red lights. Cars may even one day be able to indicate an optimum speed in order to go through lights at the perfect time, so drivers will hardly ever have to sit at red lights. This is not to mention how engine start-stop systems and even autonomous car technology could adapt to the new information.
Next up to become equipped with a TLI system is Washington, D.C. If you’re looking for more information or a new or pre-owned Audi for sale in the Nashua area, come see us today. We are proud to offer top of the line service, sales, and more as your number one Audi dealer.
