The new 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 Premium SUV is doing more than turning heads, it’s rolling out the doors of Audi dealerships across the world. Global sales of the Q7 in May were up nearly 80 percent – that’s an impressive figure, highlighting something we here at Audi of Nashua have already known – the Q7 is a fan favorite and making a tremendous impact among drivers in New Hampshire and beyond.
The seven-passenger Q7 is remarkably easy to drive. It’s powered by 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. That kind of power makes the Q7 engine one that will meet the needs of most drivers. The Q7, which can tow up to 7,700 pounds, gets an average of 21 miles to the gallon, 19 in the city and 25 on the highway. The model can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than six seconds. Power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Another aspect of the Q7 that is surely appealing to global drivers is the plethora of safety features the model comes with, or could be added as an upgrade. The 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 Premium SUV comes with a number of excellent standard safety features, including antilock brakes, stability and traction control, multiple airbags, including front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. The model also comes with front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera and frontal collision warning with automatic braking – features that could certainly be handy in certain circumstances.
Another nice feature of the 2017 Q7 is the amount of cargo space. Behind the back row of seats, there is about 15 available cubic feet of space. However, if the rear seats are folded down, that 15 cubic feet more than doubles to about 37 cubic feet.
